Georgette Lalaus

I grew up in the tender, hot, sweet, organic French West Indies (La Guadeloupe) and arrived to study at the age of 19 in the cold, hard, place called France. I was shocked by the culture so different from mine. Now I can say definitively that Paris is THE most beautiful city in the world! I welcome people from all places and backgrounds as my friends. My mother taught me: we always share what we have and what we do not have. I love learning, traveling, meditation, silence, inviting people to eat, helping, action and acting. I am a doer and a peacemaker.

Je suis née et j’ai grandi en Guadeloupe. À 19 ans, j’ai déménagé en France pour étudier. Le contraste fût saisissant ! D’un côté un endroit chaleureux, haut en couleurs, et de l’autre, un endroit froid et austère. Ce fut un choc. Mais les années ont passé… et maintenant je pense que Paris est la plus belle ville du monde ! Ma mère m’a enseignée à partager avec autrui. J’aime accueillir et devenir amie avec des gens de partout. J’aime apprendre, voyager, méditer, le silence, et inviter les gens à manger. J’aime agir et je suis une artisane de paix.
