I was born in Logan, Utah. In addition to being one of 8 children and 2 Navajo children, who lived with us almost full time, my parents always provided a refuge in our home for refugees and foreign USU students while I was growing up. This provided me a very diverse childhood. I have always had a deep love for refugees, immigrants, and any individual in need, something I learned from my parents. Prior to joining the TSOS team, I co-founded and served for over 4 years as Executive Director of Operations at gathering Humanity Inc. which gave me the unique opportunity to work closely with the refugee community, asylum seekers, resettlement agencies, and other amazing humanitarian organizations in Arizona. I have always enjoyed any opportunity to serve in my community and I love to drag my family along with me. I have lived in Arizona for over 20 years with my husband, Chris, and my 4 boys. As a family we love to be active, we love sports, hiking, music, and traveling
