Sara Sievers

Sara Sievers is the Executive Director of Strategy and Operations for Mass General Brigham’s Education Department, comprising most of Harvard’s teaching hospitals and the largest provider of graduate medical education in the United States. In this capacity, she also oversees alumni affairs and continuing professional development. Prior to her current position, Ms. Sievers was an associate dean and professor of policy and practice at Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs.

Her earlier experience included senior director at Columbia University’s Earth Institute where she advised the government of Nigeria on implementing the Sustainable and Millennial Development Goals. Ms. Sievers has led global health and advocacy efforts at the Gates Foundation, as a US Foreign Service Officer, and Founding Executive Director at both Columbia University’s Center for Globalization and Development and Harvard’s Center for International Development. She holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Government degree from Harvard University.
